Back Bay Boat Works is the 1986 endeavor of Don Rypinski. Don Rypinski had significant experience about anything related to land sailing and boats. He worked for Richard Arthur and was a part of the designing team of the famous Balboa 20, a sailboat model launched by Richard’s company Arthur Marine.
When Don first founded his own company, he started with manufacturing of small multihull boats. The first member of the series of Back Bay Boats was the Sailing Outrigger of 14 ft. This was followed by the manufacture and launch of another 14 ft model known as the Triton Tandem Sailer. The next launch form the company was the Versacat Rowmaran of 12ft. Back Bay Boats is not a new name for he boat fanatics and for the people who likes carrying their boats along with them, when they go on long holidays. The very first Back Bay Boats was introduced back in 1986 when the Don Rypinski, founder of company manufactured their very first lightweight multi-hull boats.
